The diabetic retinopathy is a condition that damages the retina of the eyes and it is generally caused by complications that arise from diabetes. The most common symptoms of the damage due to this condition includes swelling of the as well as leaking of the blood into the aqueous fluid of the eyes. Also, it most often leads to the growth of the abnormal new blood vessels that are on the surface of the retina.

This is also known as amd disease that in any condition leads to the blindness for the patients. As a result, in order to cure this, one has to go through various stages. Also, it is assumed that the earlier the symptoms and conditions are detected the better the prognosis for recovery.

The first stage is termed as None-Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (NPDR) where the patients will have normal vision. At this stage, the patient has to undergo an ophthalmoscope or fundus photography where micro aneurysms can be seen.

At second stage, moderate none-proliferative Retinopathy is carried out where the excessive accumulation of blood glucose and/or fructose damage and block the tiny blood vessels in the retina that nourish it.
